A New Year and a New Haiku

Blog Post #255

Did you ring in the New Year at a gala event, celebrating with party hats, noisemakers, confetti and popping champagne corks? Or was your New Year heralded in with an intimate gathering of family and close friends? Did you make it to midnight to bang pots and pans, ringing in 2017 with cheers and kisses or were you fast asleep dreaming of 365 days full of promise?

However, your New Year came in, I hope that all your hopes and dreams for 2017 come true!

I haven’t forgotten that it’s Tuesday — and that means… time for haiku!! This poem is in honour of January 1, 2017! Happy New Year!
