Goodbye Tigger — A Sad Haiku

Blog Post #192

Proud, lion-hearted
Silken ginger, green-eyed tom
You were cherished and loved

On this Haikuesday — a short poem for our cherished tomcat, Tigger. He was a much-loved member of our family for seventeen years. He was a sweet, funny and gentle cat that captured our hearts the moment he entered our home. He and his sister, Phoebe, grew up with our daughters and they both brought us all much joy and laughter.

On Saturday, we said goodbye to our lion-hearted kitty. We are sad and we miss him, but we know that he is at peace now and no longer suffering.

Farewell, dear Tigger, we will always remember you. xoxo

  1. So sorry for your loss. I recently lost my kitty too. I cried a lot. Please know that pets just cross back to God or Heaven. I did feel her a few hours after she passed. They can come in our dreams to visit. I did write a blog about this “Goodbye Kitty.” Sending love and light, C.

  2. Thank you for your comment! It is sad when our pets leave us, but we have the comfort of our memories. Tigger will be forever in our hearts. ❤
