Can I Quote You, Mr. Proust?

Blog Post #121

My husband is reading Swann’s Way, the first book in Marcel Proust’s seven volume novel In Search of Lost Time, or sometimes published as Remembrance of Things Past. Proust was a French author that is often described as one of the greatest authors of the twentieth century.

I found it quite serendipitous that I came across this quote by the author when I was searching for interesting comments about happiness, gratitude and love.

Let us be grateful to people who make us happy, they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.

~ Marcel Proust

I love this quote — not only is it a great thought about happiness, to me, it also says a lot about friendships.
