Why Yes, I Am Crafty!

Blog Post #10

Well, here I am publishing my tenth blog post in 10 days! I feel quite successful in keeping to my goal of a post a day, but I admit it has been a bit of a struggle. It is challenging to come up with something new to say every day and I have publicly committed to doing this for one entire year! That is 365 blog posts!! Am I crazy? Probably!

An interesting thing has happened since I embarked upon this project. Aside from coming up with an idea for a post every day, I have actually felt like doing more things — I feel more energized, more creative.

I have been itching to get back into crafting for some time now — I love to sew, bead and do other crafty type stuff. I haven’t touched my sewing machine in ages, and I have a lot of diy ideas that are just that — ideas. So with this new urge to be creative, I thought that I would tackle a few projects — you know, carry on my theme of “Just Do It…” See my Blog Post #1.

My problem, now, is that I don’t know where to begin — what do I create first? As I was considering all the different projects I wanted to begin — I came across some packaged crafts (they were included in a magazine that I frequently buy). I found six of them stuffed into a drawer!! Well, this seemed like a sign that I really should get crafting. So that is exactly what I am going to do — make one of these simple, “everything-you-need-to-make-something-in-one-package” to kickstart me on an artsy path.

Mollie Makes gift project from issue 40

This little bunny  came with one of my favourite crafting magazines — Mollie Makes — and won’t take me long to finish — just the thing to get me pumped to get out my sewing machine! I’m going to start right now and I hope to be done some time tomorrow. Check back to see the finished work of art!
